How to Use :

The recommended daily dosage is one sachet. However, intake should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only, and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. The recommended dilution is one sachet (33g) of PKU Synergy made up with 100ml of water to a final volume of approximately 120ml. Water or additional fluid should be offered at the same time as PKU Synergy to ensure adequate fluid intake. The health of the patient depends on carefully following the directions for preparation and use. 1. Wash hands, clean all utensils. 2. Measure the required amount of cold water into a container and add the prescribed quantity of powder. 3. Cover and shake the product until the powder has dissolved. 4. Once reconstituted, refrigerate and consume within 24 hours. 5. Shake immediately before use. Best served chilled.

Storage :

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, the entire sachet should be used immediately.

Precautions :

Must be used under medical supervision. For enteral use only. Suitable for children 10 years of age and over and adults with proven phenylketonuria or hyperphenylalaninemia (and an increased PHE-tolerance/intake). Must be supplemented with a source of natural protein, fluid and other nutrients in medically prescribed quantities to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient, which may include additional vitamin and mineral supplementation. PKU Synergy contains a trace of phenylalanine at a level of less than 1mg per 33g sachet serving. If necessary, this must be accounted for in the diet. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not suitable for children under the age of 10 years.
