"Please note that the preparation instructions of Nutramigen LGG® are different to those of routine formulas. It is important for parents to carefully adhere to the step-by-step preparation instructions in order to achieve best results.

Instructions for preparation and use - step 1

Wash hands thoroughly. Clean bottles, teats, caps and utensils in water (10 minutes at a rolling boil).

Boil fresh water. Cool down to room temperature† . Do not use softened water. Pour desired amount of water into clean sterilised bottle.

Add required number of level scoops of powder (see feeding guidelines). Store dry scoop in the can.

Close bottle, roll and shake well until powder dissolves completely (approx.1 minute). Check temperature on inside of your wrist.

Once prepared, formula can spoil quickly. Feed immediately after preparation or cover and store in a refrigerator at 2-4°C for no longer than 24 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula and do not use if unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Use formula that has been in contact with the infant’s mouth within 1 hour and do not refrigerate. Throw away prepared formula left in bottle and clean utensils. Do not use a microwave to warm formula.

As probiotics are inactivated by hot water, the reconstitution of a feed containing probiotics falls outside of current WHO recommendations. The BDA recommends that when healthcare facilities are using foods for special medical purposes that contain probiotics and are able to make individual fresh feeds for immediate consumption, these should be reconstituted by adhering to a strict safe preparation technique8."
